Flood in Alor Star, Kedah, Malaysia

In December 2005, big flood hit Alor Star and Jitra, Kedah. On the day, we went back to our hometown..but we could not reach the house. My husband left me and the kids at one of the rest house in Alor Star town centre and he took any available vehicle to reach his mother's house. Only 4WD or lorries could reach the area (pictures speak thousand words).

Way back in June 2006, we went to Langkawi. It was our second trip there. We stayed at Langkasuka Beach Resort located at Tengah Beach. Unfortunately, it was raining throughout the day...and we had to cancel our outdoor activities (too sad). Only the day of our departure, the weather was OK (sigh!). We decided to go to Langkawi again next time!
